Salesforce, Inc. (Salesforce Certification Program)

Salesforce Certified AI Associate

Salesforce Certified AI Associate was an entry-level credential covering the fundamentals of AI and data in a CRM context. Its scope included the types of AI, how AI is applied in CRM, Salesforce's trusted AI principles, data quality and data governance, and the responsible handling of data, including bias and privacy. The weighting leaned heavily toward ethics and data, both in the 36–39% range. The credential was retired on February 2, 2026, and the exam can no longer be taken. Every figure on this page is a record of the official exam guide as it stood at retirement: 40 multiple-choice questions in 70 minutes, a passing score of 65%, no registration fee, and a USD 50 retake fee. Salesforce points to Agentblazer status as the new program for demonstrating AI and Agentforce skills; the current certification covering the AI area is Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist. If you already hold the AI Associate credential, check Salesforce's official retirement FAQ for how existing certifications are handled.

Questions people ask

Can I still take this exam?
No. It was retired on February 2, 2026. The retirement is stated on both the official credential page and the official exam guide.
What should I take instead?
Salesforce points to a new program, Agentblazer status, as the way to show AI and Agentforce skills. If you want a certification covering the AI area, the current exam is Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist (60 questions, 105 minutes, passing score 72%).
I already passed. What happens to my certification?
Salesforce addresses the handling of existing certifications in its official FAQ. This page does not go beyond what could be confirmed on official pages, so please check Salesforce's retirement FAQ directly.
Was the exam really free?
The official exam guide at retirement listed the registration fee as free and the retake fee as USD 50 plus tax. That pricing took effect on September 23, 2024.
Is there any point in continuing to study with the app?
Not for passing the exam, since it is no longer offered. The topics that were in scope — trusted AI principles, data quality, and the handling of bias and privacy — overlap with the Trust Layer and governance areas of the current Agentforce Specialist exam, so it sits as background knowledge rather than exam preparation.
